Lucy is a passionate environmental Activist, Gender Secretary at the Green Congress of Kenya (since 2016), and CEO at Be Well, and former Executive Director at Green Dimensions Network. Lucy is also the East African Greens Federation&#8217;s Secretary General and former co-convenor of the Global Greens Climate Working Group, as well as a former member&nbsp;of the Steering Committee of the Global Greens Women Network, representing Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lucy has extensive experience working with organizations that advocate for climate change mitigation, adaptation, gender, democracy, equality, education, and food security. As the founder of the Adopt A Tree Initiative, she played a significant role in simplifying climate change education for young learners and empowering them to develop and share solutions for the climate crisis, thereby promoting climate awareness, recycling, clean air advocacy, and engaging children and youth in climate-related spaces.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lucy steered the formation of the Green Congress of Kenya PWD\u2019s League and the implementation of a program in Kenya called Trees for Peace. With her strong background in program development and implementation, she coordinates initiatives that bring policy and grassroots action together, and she has actively contributed to global climate discussions, education, equality, and democracy.
