A new podcast amplifying Green voices, frontline experiences and climate solutions from across the world.

Communities across continents are rising to confront the interconnected crises of climate change, ecological degradation and social injustice. Yet, the voices of those leading this work Indigenous communities, young climate activists, frontline defenders, local farmers, Green leaders and grassroots movements, often remain underrepresented in the global conversations shaping our collective future.
To help bring these voices to the forefront, the Global Greens Climate Working Group (CWG) is launching Echoes in Green, a new podcast available on RSS aquí, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, Pocket Casts and several others with video versions of episodes to be released on the Global Greens’ YouTube channel here.
Echoes in Green will create a platform for stories, ideas and experiences from the frontlines of climate and environmental action, connecting local realities with international climate negotiations and the political decisions that shape our collective future.
Rooted in the Global Greens’ commitment to ecological wisdom, social justice, participatory democracy, nonviolence, sustainability and respect for diversity, the podcast will explore how communities and Green movements are responding to the climate crisis, advancing policy alternatives and building solidarity across borders.
Introducing Global Greens Delegates to COP31
The first few episodes of Echoes in Green will introduce Global Greens delegates attending COP31 in Antalya, Türkiye, bringing together perspectives from both the Global South and the Global North. Through conversations with delegates, listeners will learn about their work, the climate challenges facing their communities and countries, the solutions they are championing, and their priorities and expectations for this year’s climate summit.
As the world prepares for COP31, these conversations will look beyond formal negotiations to explore the people, movements and political commitments that give climate action its meaning. They will examine the relationship between international climate commitments and their implementation on the ground, including the need for climate justice, equitable adaptation, climate finance and meaningful participation by communities most affected by the climate crisis.
By sharing the experiences and perspectives of delegates working across different political, social and geographical contexts, Echoes in Green seeks to highlight both the diversity of climate realities and the common ground on which international solidarity can be built.
Connecting Local Struggles with Global Solutions
Beyond COP and the UNFCCC negotiation process, Echoes in Green will explore the wider intersections of climate justice with biodiversity, water and land rights, Indigenous knowledge, youth leadership, intersectionality, Green governance and sustainable economies.
The podcast will spotlight people-powered solutions and policy alternatives while examining the social and democratic dimensions of the ecological crisis. By bringing together Green politicians, activists, researchers, community representatives and other changemakers, it will strengthen connections between grassroots action and international decision-making.
At its heart, Echoes in Green is about more than documenting the climate crisis. It is about amplifying solutions, reclaiming space for underrepresented voices, building transnational solidarity and demonstrating that a just and sustainable future is possible when communities are heard and empowered to shape the decisions that affect them.
Through this initiative, the Global Greens through its Climate Working Group aims to educate, inspire and mobilise audiences worldwide, strengthen the visibility of Green movements and their campaigns, and reaffirm the importance of collective action in advancing climate and environmental justice.
