Alejandro Aguilera

Mr. Alejandro Aguilera has two professions, a Civil Engineer and a Lawyer, and is also the National Secretary General of the Ecological Movement of Venezuela (Green Party).

Alejandro is currently a national parliamentarian of Venezuela, and a parliamentarian of the South American Parliament of MERCOSUR. In his work as a parliamentarian he is part of the Foreign Policy Commission of the National Assembly of Venezuela, a member of the permanent commission on international treaties. And founder of the sub-commission for implementation and monitoring of sustainable development objectives.

In addition, Mr. Aguilera is a member of the parliamentary friendship groups of France and the European Union.

He has been a long-time member of the Federation of Green Parties of the Americas (FPVA), becoming the Executive Co-president in the period 2021-2023, and is currently Co-President of the FPVA.

Being an environmental and political activist, he has defended the environmental causes of the region and Venezuela, denouncing the ecocides that his country has today in all international spaces.
